Looking for a way to make a difference? Become a Volunteer and help us improve lung health and better breathing for all New Brunswickers!

We rely on volunteers to help us on our quest to lead lung health initiatives for the prevention of lung disease, improved care for patients and cleaner air for better breathing of all New Brunswickers.

We have various opportunities where you can help. Choose what is right for you and fill out an application to make a difference in your province:

Volunteer Roles

Administration

Support your Lung Association community office by:

  • answering the phones and greeting visitors
  • providing general clerical support such as data entry, filing, photocopying and posting mail

Availability:  Mostly during office hours, some evenings/weekends

Donor Relations

Help us show our donors appreciation by:

  • processing donations and preparing receipts
  • preparing receipts for mailing
  • calling donors to thank them for their support

Availability:  Mostly during office hours, some evenings/weekends

Fundraising

Raise money by organizing your own event! Please download the Third-Party Fundraising Toolkit for more information.

Availability:  Anytime 

Special Events

Help us with Bike For Breath by:

  • Collecting prizes and sponsorship;
  • promoting the event; and
  • various tasks on Event day

  Availability: Anytime and/or Day of Event                                     

Information outreach

Promote The Lung Association in your community by:

  • talking about The Lung Association at community events
  • distributing posters, brochures and other materials to local outlets
  • promoting messages in schools, community groups, cultural organizations and in the workplace by making presentations and setting up displays

Availability: Anytime

 

If you are currently employed, review the volunteer policy at your workplace. Your employer may allow time-off for volunteering, encourage initiating fundraisers on their behalf and offer matching gift programs.
